Because you deserve the best
Thinking Of Building Your Own Site?
There are certainly a lot
of hosting sites on the internet that allow you to build your own
web site using their templates. But let me ask you
this:
Have you ever heard of meta tags?
How about keywords?
What do you know about html?
These three things
are absolutely essential if you ever want anyone but your friends
to see your site. If you want customers to find you using a
search engine, you have got to have excellent meta tags and key
words. They are part of the language that allows search
engines to find and categorize your site.
No matter how easy
the template is for building your own site, you will be greatly limited in what
you can do with it. Most site builders won't allow you to add your own
specialized Meta Tags.
In addition, once a
customer does find your site, if it does not load quickly, or if
it is not visually appealing, they will not stay long enough to
view your products. And even if they do stay to see what
you sell, if they can't navigate the site easily, they will
leave.
If you are going to sell products, you are
going to need first class e-commerce solutions.
So, if you want a site that
is functional, attractive to customers, easy to find and quick to
load, you have 2 choices:
spend a great
deal of time teaching yourself the basics, or have one designed for you!
Here's a little help:
HOW TO PROMOTE YOUR
SITE
First
you are going to need meta tags. You are going to need to use keywords
from the text of your website! You can build your own here:

The next thing to do is to submit
your site to search engines. There are many sites that will
submit your site for free. However, you will have much better
results if you submit your site to search engines yourself, one
at a time. It is more work, but you will have much better
results, and with much less spam mail later on.
I

Read the directions for each
site!
The next best way to get traffic to
your site is with reciprocal links. Many search engines
will give you a higher rating if a lot of sites are linked to
you. Put the category of your site into a good search engine (I
like GOOGLE ) and then look for sites that compliment
your own. E-mail them and ask to exchange a
link.
You can put your site into
directories. Again, put the word 'directory' into a
search engine, and go to the appropriate ones and submit your
site. Be sure and submit to
DMOZ!
Put the address of your site, and a
very short description, at the bottom of all of your e-mail
letters.
Remember, it takes time to get traffic! Do not get discouraged if
you don't see results for a couple of months. You can
re-submit your site to some search engines every 2 months or so,
more often and you risk them barring you.
If you are looking for a hosting site, I
can not recommend Spider Web Hosting highly enough! It is where I have my
site, and they are just wonderful. They have real people that are
